Britney Spears calls out Jamie Lynn Spears over stabbing allegations

Britney Spears hit out at her sister Jamie Lynn Spears again after her TV interview.

The singer shared a statement on Twitter yesterday (January 13) following Jamie Lynn’s appearance on hello america, where she opened up about Britney’s controversial conservatorship, which ended last year.

In the interview, Jamie Lynn was asked about a section of her upcoming memoir Things I should have said where she describes Britney’s behavior before her conservatorship as “erratic”, “paranoid” and “spiraling”.

This prompted Britney to post a lengthy response in which she said, “The two things that bothered me [were] that my sister said my behavior was out of control. She was never around me 15 years ago at this time. So why are they even talking about this unless she wants to sell a book at my expense??? REALLY ???”

Now she drew attention to a section of the interview where Jamie Lynn said the singer locked them both in a room with a knife because she “didn’t feel safe.”

“Jamie Lynn… congratulations baby!” You have lowered yourself to a whole new level of LOW,” Britney wrote. “I’ve never been around you with a knife or would even think of doing it!!!. The only knife I saw you with at home was cutting the biggest chunks of squash I’ve ever seen of my life and it was way too big for me to cut.

“So please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books. NOW and only NOW do I know only a scum would make such things up about someone.

Following the singer’s comments yesterday, Jamie Lynn shared a post on Instagram in which she told her sister that she was “always there” for her.

“It got exhausting when the conversations and texts we have privately don’t match what you post on social media,” Jamie Lynn wrote, speaking directly to Britney. “I know you’re going through a lot and I never want to diminish that, but I can’t diminish myself either.”

She added that “after a life spent in silence” she “may have to set the record straight myself in order to protect mine and my family’s well-being”.

Jamie Lynn also said her memoir was ‘not’ about Britney: ‘I can’t help but be born Spears too and some of my experiences involve my sister.

She has yet to respond to Britney’s latest message.

Earlier this week, the singer hinted that she was planning to write her own memoir.
