Former “Bachelorette” contestant Clint Arlis has died, his sister Taylor has announced. He was 34 years old.
“It is with great sadness to tell you that my family lost my best friend and older brother Clint on the morning of January 11,” she wrote on Facebook. “Please respect the privacy of our family as we try to cope with this great loss. “
Taylor added that details of his service would be provided later, but did not disclose the cause of death.
Although Arlis, who appeared in the season of Kaitlyn Bristowe, is best known for his slogan “Villains Must Be Naughty”, his former co-star Nick Viall remembers him as a “very kind, unique person. and talented ”.
“I have just learned of the death of Clint Arlis”, the “Bachelor” alum, 41 years old, tweeted. “I got to know Clint quite a bit after our stint on the Kaitlyns season and I always enjoy the time and the conversations.”
Viall added that Arlis “was taken out of this world far too soon”.
Former high school Arlis wrestling coach Scott Bayer also confirmed his passing with a moving tribute.
“It is with a heavy heart and a sense of deep loss that we announce the passing of one of the all-time greats of the Batavia wrestling program,” Bayer tweeted on January 13. “It was [a] talented artist with a sharp wit, sardonic sense of humor and palpable authenticity.
He added: “The heartfelt speech he gave to his father during his retirement celebration made me proud to know them both.”
Arlis was eliminated in week three of Season 11, which aired in 2015. In the years since his appearance on the reality show, Arlis kept a low profile and deleted his social media accounts.
Bristowe finally got engaged to Jason Tartick in May 2021 after parting ways with Season 11 winner Shawn Booth in 2018.
