Coronation Street viewers couldn’t resist taking to social media after watching Friday’s episode and learning how highly valued Tyrone Dobbs’ home had been.
Coronation Street viewers were left speechless after listening to Friday’s episode and learning how much Fiz Brown and Tyrone Dobbs’ home is worth.
A few weeks ago, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) agreed to sell the property as Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) decided to move in with her boyfriend Phill.
The latest episode of the ITV soap continued with the fallout after Joseph ran away from home, and at one point Fiz left the search party to get an estate agent’s appraisal of the flat.
The apartment was actually left to Tyrone by his honorary parents, Jack and Vera Duckworth, but Fiz told her ex that she wanted to sell the property so she could help with renovations to her new home with Phill.
The estate agent was impressed with the humble Weatherfield home and told Fiz it would cost between £150,000 and £175,000.
Fiz was delighted with the valuation, but Corrie fans were hysterical and quickly took to Twitter to comment on the unrealistic figure.
One person posted: “‘I’m no estate agent but this place isn’t worth £150k it’s stuck in the 80s.’
Another viewer tweeted: ‘£150,000 I don’t think’, while a third person added: ‘£175 vs £175,000’.
Someone else tweeted: “£175k for Fizz’s house? I knew Co-Op and Costa coffee were signs Weatherfield was gentrified! |
Another person posted: “I know house prices have gone up but seriously, £175k for Fizz and Tyrone’s house?!!”
It comes after Corrie fans feared Fiz wouldn’t get his happy ending with Phill because he was going to scam her.
After watching the episode where Fiz convinced Tyrone to sell, concerned viewers took to social media.
One person predicted: “And Phil is going to run away with that #Corrie money.”
“I don’t trust Phil as far as I can throw him away…something is wrong, and if Fiz gives her money she’ll regret it…it’s #Corrie after all. No one will be able to live happily ever after forever,” a second added.
A third wrote: ‘#Corrie Anyone who thinks Phil is a crook raise your hand’, while a fourth added: ‘I feel like Phil and his mum are trying to scam Fiz out of his part of the house.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITV Hub.
