Kanye West is confusing us all right now. Not only does he flaunt his relationship with Julia Fox everywhere, but he also makes sure to hit on Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson — and the best way for a musician to do that is through lyrics.
An alleged sample of West’s new single, “My Life Was Never Eazy,” has leaked online, and Davidson’s name clearly fell on the otherwise muffled clip. “God saved me from the crash, just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s ass,” he rapped. Well, okay, that’s mean-spirited, but it’s also completely hypocritical of West to be free to pursue his relationship with Fox while making sure to land his ex’s love with words. Why can he move on, but Kardashian can’t? And if we remember correctly, he dated model Irina Shayk whenever he could, but the SKIMS founder kept a lower profile until she started dating the Saturday Night Live Star.

West was reportedly upset every step of the way regarding Kardashian’s choice to go ahead with dating another man. At the beginning of December, a Hollywood life insider revealed that “he is very, very upset” and “is will being at To do Absolutely whatever at to have Kim return” while “seeking advice from his friends”. Just a month later, he was giving his new girlfriend a “Cinderella” makeover and bringing her around her A-list friends. Has this become a publicity feud or does West really want Kardashian back?

If the song’s lyrics are genuine, we can’t help but think that West deliberately put the sample there. He knows it would make headlines and come back to the couple. It’s as if he wants to get into Davidson’s skin so deeply that it will force the comedian to distance himself from Kardashian. We don’t know what West is trying to accomplish, but he can’t have it both ways.
