Neve Campbell recounted the time she was attacked by a bear on a movie set in Canada when she was only 17 years old.

The Scream star revealed details of an actual horror movie while filming with the animal in the Canadian wilderness as a teenager.

The 48-year-old actress appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show Thursday and described being dragged through a forest by the wild animal while holding her leg.

Campbell – who reprized his role as Sidney Prescott for the fifth film in the slasher series – recalled the chilling incident in detail.

“I was 17 and I was playing this role, she’s one with the animals, and there was a scene where I’m supposed to be chased by a bear – the only animal I’m not in the movie with. – and they brought this bear to the set, ”the star said.

She continued, “They first gave me a big bottle of Coke to feed him, so now he’s a bear on a sugar rush.”

“I was like ‘OK’. And I dip my hand in honey and run to that rock. I turn and reach out and the bear doesn’t slow down. He grabs me by the leg and he pulls me through the forest, and my mom is visiting on the set so she screams, ”she recalls.

“The whole crew is frozen because no one can believe what’s going on, and all I could think of to say was, ‘He’s biting me,’ like it wasn’t obvious.”

After being freed with the help of a bear hunter, Neve surprised the director when she asked for the cameras to roll again so they could take the picture.

She said, “Me, that fun for people was like, ‘No, that was a rehearsal. We didn’t film it. Let’s do it again. “”
