Prince William and Kate Middleton accept ‘broken’ relationship with Harry and Meghan

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have accepted that their relationship with Harry and Meghan is ‘broken’, it has been claimed.

A reporter claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton had accepted their “broken” relationship with Harry and Meghan.

Broadcaster and publisher Andrew Neil appeared in the documentary 2021: the terrible year of the queen, revealing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have accepted that their bond with William’s brother Harry and his wife Meghan is now “severed”.

“I’m pretty sure from what I’ve been told that Prince William and Kate are reconciled with the fact that [their relationship] is broken, and it can’t be set up, ”Neil said in the program.

“Not in the foreseeable future anyway, and that they have to go their way and William and Kate will go their way.”

While at one point the ‘Fab Four’ were billed as a future team of royal power, those days are long gone, with Harry and Meghan stepping down from their royal duties and moving to California in early 2020.

They have since become a thorn in the side of the palace, especially after giving a revealing interview to the queen of the American show Oprah Winfrey, where they spoke about racism within the royal family as well as being “financially cut” after moving to the United States.

But were there any signs the two royal power couples were destined to go their separate ways ahead of Harry and Meghan’s move?

The quartet’s relationship was explored in the 2019 documentary Kate against Meghan: princesses at war? available to stream on Flash.

Even then, before the Megxit, experts predicted that it was clear that couples would lead increasingly separate lives.

In the doco, royal editor of London Evening Standard Robert Jobson said there was no future for the two couples.

“Well, I think the Fab Four is going to be the fabulous two and two,” Jobson said at the time.

“I really don’t think there is a future for the Fab Four.”

“William and his family will be the main future of the royal family.”

It is now two years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal roles, moving to California with their son Archie – and last year adding to their family with the birth of Lilibet, named after of his famous great-grandmother.

Amidst strained family relations, Prince Harry has only returned to the UK twice since crossing the pond.

The first was for the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, who died in April of last year.

The brothers also reunited a few months later for the unveiling of a statue of their late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, on what would have been her 60th birthday.
